HyperSID is a realtime MIDI synth editor
that allows you full control of every sound shaping
parameter found on a HyperSID hardware unit. This
hardware unit is based on the old C64 synthesizer
Chip (SID) and It is a kind of "DIY" project. Real
time integration between software and hardware makes
HyperSID act like the other VST instruments in your
host application.
Because its
sounds are fully generated by the hardware unit the
VSTi Software has a very low CPU usage than the
other VST instruments.

Herder has released the Impulse Train
soundset, a collection of 64 patches for
Andreas Ersson’s polyIblit, a freeware instrument
plug-in for Windows.
polyIblit is a VST 2.3 compatible software
synthesizer for PC.
The oscillator waveforms are generated using BLITs
(Band Limited Impulse Train) which gives oscillators
with very low aliasing."

Denis Eismann
has released version 1.4 of SuperDrumFX, a freeware
software drum sampler, mainly designed for use with
an electronic drum set (e-drum).
Improvements:
- A "Pads" slot has been integrated. It makes
14 different "clickdynamic" pads available (see
manual).
- Each drum slot has a "clickdynamic" pad
(slot picture). It can be used for rehearsal.

- In the "HH Open" slot, the "Mix Level HH
Close" controller is integrated. With it, the
mixing ratio between "HH Close" slot and "HH
Open" slot is adjustable.
- Downgraded SDFX (excluding "FX" slot) is
also available in version 1.4 (SuperDrumFX-Dry
v1.4).
- The user manual is revised for version 1.4
and now includes detailed installation
instructions.
- An english version 1.4 of the user manual is
also available.
Fixes:
- The "panning errors" in the "Cymbal 1" slot,
which occurred only in conjunction with the "FX"
slot (Kick Level), has been solved.

has released Piper 2, a free FM
synthesizer instrument for Windows.
This is the second incarnation of my PM (a.k.a FM)
synth.
Tighter, faster code. Wider range of sounds.
Prettier GUI. Should still be pretty easy to
program.
Featuring awesome anti-aliasing filter (derived from
code by Dave from Muon. Cheers!). The button labeled
AA turns it on.
