SAR VSTs releases Reality and
updates Logana to v1.21
29th April 2010
SAR VSTs has announced the release
of Reality, an emulation of the
Realistic MG-1, and updated Logana to
v1.21. Both are available for Windows as free VST
instrument plug-ins.
Reality
is an emulation of the Realistic MG-1,
a synth that was sold by Radio-shack but was made by the
Moog company. Special attention was given to the
oscillators, analog instability and overall oddness of
the original.
Features:
2 analog style oscillators (tone sources)
with saw/square waveform, sync and ring
modulation (bell).
Noise generator.
Tempo sync LFO (modulation) with triangle,
square and random waveforms.
ASR envelope (contour).
VCA with multiple mode, envelope, key (gate)
and continuous.
24db filter modulated by the LFO and
Envelope.
Monophonic or polyphonic modes with separate
tuning.
Changes:
Fixed modulation matrix, and distortion.
New faster filter envelope.
Various other Small fixes and efficiency
Upgrade.
Compiled with new SynthEdit version
(1.1850).
Logana
uses physical modeling to emulate analog hardware.
This creates warm non-aliasing waveforms with little
CPU use.
Features:
Three analog style oscillators with four
waveforms (Sine, Saw, Pulse, and Triangle).
Noise generator with variable level and
color (tone).
Modulation matrix and modulation envelope.
LFO with Sine and triangle waveforms able to
modulate pitch or pulse-width on oscillator 1,
2, 3, or all of them.
Lowpass filter with adjustable slope (12db,
24db, or 36db), cut-off, resonance, and a
separate cut-off envelope.
